AIKEN — The Aiken Hounds, one of the oldest drag hunting club in the United States , recently sponsored its annual Spring Hunter Pace. The hunter pace is a fundraiser that benefits the Hitchcock Woods Foundation. 

A check for around $5,500 was presented to Foundation members on the afternoon of April 16 along with a set of four picnic tables handcrafted by Angela Cartmel of Wagener for Hitchcock Woods visitors to enjoy. 

The Foundation and Aiken Hounds have a deep connection with each other as the Hounds use the woods to drag hunt twice weekly during their hunting season.
