Capping with Aiken Hounds

Guests are welcome to ride with Aiken Hounds through a traditional process known as capping.

Capping allows guests to participate in individual meets without committing to a full hunt club membership. You pay the established capping fee, join us for a scheduled hunt, and ride with Aiken Hounds for the day.

Capping is the most common way for riders to experience drag hunting for the first time. This is often where a lifelong passion begins.

Aiken Hounds welcomes guests throughout the year, though capping is limited to three meets per individual during each hunting season. Riders who plan to cap more than three times in a season should consider a hunt club membership.

If you’ve been searching for fox hunting near you, we’d love for you to join us for a ride in Aiken.

Please contact the secretary for your capping invitation form.
