Hound Walking with Aiken Hounds

Looking for something fun to do with Aiken Hounds in the off-season? Aiken Hounds will have mounted Hound Exercises on Tuesdays and Fridays in July and August.

Mounted Hound Exercise

Tuesdays and Fridays in July and August, we will meet at the intersection of Juac Hollow and the Gasline and move off at 9am. There is no charge and everyone is welcome.

Any changes or cancellations will be recorded on the hotline (803.643.DRAG) and posted on Facebook by 7am the morning of.

The attire is summer comfortable with green shirts reserved for staff. ASTM helmets are MANDATORY for all AH activities. Those who were riding members for the 25-26 season already have current coggins and waivers on file and do not need to resubmit these forms unless they are riding a different horse.

Non-members must give proof of current negative coggins and submit a signed waivers.

What You’ll Need to Participate in a Hound Walking

As with all mounted activities, Aiken Hounds requires the following for participants:

  • Proof of negative Coggins
  • Completed & signed waiver
  • ASTM-approved helmet

Please make sure your paperwork is on file before arriving. Participants without completed documentation will not be permitted to ride.

Our pace is relaxed, and we cultivate a welcoming atmosphere for riders of all backgrounds and experience levels. Whether you’re a seasoned fox hunter or new to horseback riding, there’s a place for you here.
